POWER WHEELCHAIR/SCOOTER CHARGING STATIONS - DISCUSSION
The Committee met and discussed power wheelchair/scooter charging stations. C. Dillon, Accessibility Co-ordinator highlighted that the City of Sarnia and County of Lambton received the Municipal Accessibility Award from the Ontario Social Services Association in recognition of their local pilot project for installing mobility device charging stations at public spaces. Ms. Dillon advised that she has received concerns from an individual regarding power wheelchair and their limited battery time. R. Meier commented that he has requested further information from the City of Sarnia regarding their mobility device charging stations. The Committee will discuss this matter further at a future committee meeting.
