R. Warman provided an update regarding the German Twinning.  Mr. Warman commented that a delegation comprised of Janice Laking, Jean Maurice Pigeon, Bill Sergeant along with himself travelled to Zweibrücken Germany July, 2017 to commemorate the 20th Anniversary of the Twinning relationship between the two cities.  Mr. Warman highlighted that Zweibrücken, Germany has named a street in their community the City of Barrie to commemorate the relationship between the two cities.  

Mr. Warman commented that a presentation will be taking place at the City Council meeting regarding the Harrogate and Germany visits on November 6, 2017.

The Committee approved the expenditures of funds from the International Relations Committee account 01-06-0935-000-3095 in the amount of $295.00 to be paid to Jean Maurice Pigeon for the purchase of the commemorative tree planted in Zweibrücken, Germany in honour of the 20th Anniversary of the twinning relationship between the two cities.
