Dr. Bradley Dibble from Barrie Doctors on Climate Solutions (DOCS) and Dr. Charles Gardner from the Simcoe Muskoka District Health Unit (SMDHU) provided a presentation concerning their initiative to bring increase awareness and education to the community regarding climate change and health related issues.

Dr. Dibble and Dr. Gardner discussed slides the following topics:

·	An overview about the Barrie DOCS organization addressing climate change;

·	Available public support associated to climate change and health related issues;

·	The steps the City has taken to mitigate climate change;

·	The City’s Climate Change Adaptation Strategy and Implementation Plan;

·	The Barrie DOCS recommended measures;

·	Ways to reduce emissions to help with climate change and reduce pollution;

·	Education to promote healthy life styles;

·	Partnerships and other green communities that are taking action towards climate change; and

·	The importance of adaptation planning.
