Title: DISCUSSION WITH S. HOFFMANN OF THE BARRIE FIRE AND EMERGENCY SERVICE REGARDING EMERGENCY PLANNING AND SAFETY FOR SENIORS S. Hoffmann, Public Fire and Life Safety Officer/Public Information Officer in the Barrie Fire and Emergency Service (BFES) Department provided an overview of Seniors Programs that BFES offers to assist seniors to lead safer lives. Ms. Hoffmann discussed the BFES “Remembering When” program to help seniors live safely in their homes for as long as possible. She noted that the “Remembering When” program includes eight fire prevention and eight fall prevention safety measures along with a safety checklist. Members of the Committee asked a number of questions related to the information provided and received responses from staff.
