Police Chief, K. Greenwood provided an outline of a Community Perspectives Project initiative undertaken by the Barrie Police Service, and that would also support the development of Barrie’s next Community Safety Well-Being Plan. She noted that the Community Perspectives Project will also support the work of Collaborate Barrie and Connected Core.

Chief Greenwood advised that the Barrie Police Service have engaged with MASS LBP, a leading Canadian organization dedicated to creating more inclusive communities and responsive public services. She highlighted on the city’s rapid growth and the changes that are straining its social, community health and policing resources.  

Chief Greenwood provided an overview of Phase 1 and 2 of the Community Perspectives Project Proposal. She discussed establishing a working group to support the project and she is looking for Committee members that are interested in participating in the working group.
