W. Cooke, City Clerk/Director of Legislative and Court Services provided a presentation regarding an Orientation for the 2018-2022 Committee Members. 

Ms. Cooke discussed the following topics:

·	Council and Committee Code of Conduct;
·	Municipal Conflict of Interest Act;
·	City of Barrie Procedural By-law;
·	Public Notice - Accountability and Transparency;
·	Meeting Procedures;
·	Chair, Committee and Staff Responsibilities;
·	Decision making process; and
·	Reporting structure for the Community Safety and Well-Being Committee.
 
In closing, Ms. Cooke reviewed the Terms of Reference for the Community Safety and Well-Being Committee including the Committee’s mandate, objectives and purpose of the Committee in accordance with the Safer Ontario Act.  Also, she provided a brief overview of the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA) Training Booklet.
