Mayor Lehman invited Mrs. Ito to approach the podium to award the “Order of the Rising Sun, Gold and Silver Rays” to Mr. Morrison, former Alderman and Chair of the International Relations Committee on behalf of the Japanese Government.  She noted that the Order is awarded to those individuals who have made distinguished achievements in international relations and promotion of Japanese culture.

·	The steps the City has taken to mitigate climate change;

·	The City’s Climate Change Adaptation Strategy and Implementation Plan;

·	The Barrie DOCS recommended measures;

·	Ways to reduce emissions to help with climate change and reduce pollution;

·	Education to promote healthy life styles;

·	Partnerships and other green communities that are taking action towards climate change; and

·	The importance of adaptation planning.

·	Pictures illustrating the current Nature Centre and the new Nature Centre;

·	An overview on the LSRCA outdoor education program;

·	The benefits of outdoor education;

·	A chart illustrating the percentages of 2019 participation at the Nature Centre from school programs;

·	The “Therapy in the Woods” community program;

·	The condition of the current Nature Centre;

·	The new Nature Centre inspired design;

·	The status of the Connect Campaign; and 

·	The LSCF request to the City of Barrie.

·	An update on the City’s grant to the Centre;

·	The average monthly costs associated to housing people that are homeless; and

·	A summary of the HUB, a coordinated access point to housing options and support for individuals and families.
