Mayor Lehman discussed the following information: · An overview on the Shift Government initiatives dedicated to route problems and prevention such as aging in place, food support, and the Opioid crisis; · The Shift Government Team; · Examples of successful Student and Senior Homeshare programs in the municipalities of Hamilton and Toronto; · The concept of the Homeshare Program: o Partnership with Georgian College; o A coordinator position set up by Georgian College for the Pilot Program; o Connecting seniors with students; o Students enrolled in program with experience, nursing, social services etc.; o Student assisting with food, odd jobs, shoveling snow etc.; o Low rent costs; o Forming a relationship and eliminating isolation of seniors and students; o A framework agreement assist
